Manufacturing controller (for Breda & Riyadh PAY Perso sites)

Based in Breda Perso center with few travels per year to Saudi Arabia

  • 1 or max 2 days week of remote working possible
  • 3 days at least on site. Thales LR8 – Industrial Controller
  • Reporting to PAY Manuf Controller and dotted line to Plant Manager’s (Breda and Riyadh)


Position Summary / Key Tasks

  • Perform monthly closing and reporting for manufacturing responsibilities
  • Prepare and review the accounting entries related to the manufacturing activity
  • Calculation & maintenance of standard cost. In charge of COGS for the site
  • Contribute to cost savings objectives
  • Lead, prepare, present the budget & rolling forecast for manufacturing scope
  • Variance analysis between actual and planned
  • Validate industrial investment (ROI/Payback for Capex project)
  • Support fixed assets management and check the depreciation amount
  • Support inventory management and ensure the reliable inventory valuation
  • Ad-hoc financial analysis and calculation
  • Ensure compliance with Thales policies and internal controls requirements
  • Providing information to external and internal auditors for manufacturing scope
  • Participate in the development of the local policies, goals and long-range plans


Responsibilities

  • Developing financial culture within Plant management
  • Responsible for manufacturing monthly closing and reporting
  • Leading, coordinating, and presenting yearly budget & manufacturing rolling forecast
  • In charge of plant cost control, ensuring the reliable costing and the inventory valuation
  • Ensuring application of Thales processes & policies


Education & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance (or accounting),
  • Knowledge of accounting principles, understanding of standard costing - nice to have 2-3 years controlling experience in manufacturing environment
  • Effective communication skills
  • Languages: English very good oral & written, Arabic would be advantage
  • Strong analytical, mathematical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel and working knowledge of Word and PowerPoint
  • Oracle knowledge is an advantage
