The Role

We are currently seeking a Legal Counsel to join our team here at iwell. This role is crucial in supporting our growing scale-up environment, ensuring all legal aspects of our operations are meticulously handled. As part of a passionate organization, you will have the opportunity to shape the legal framework of a company making significant strides in renewable energy and a meaningful impact on the environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing strategic legal advice to our sales team throughout Europe, supply chain team and operations team (main stakeholders). In addition, you may be asked to provide advice to the management team and other departments.
• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, agreements, and other legal documents, specifically in the field of sales, supply chain and operations and maintenance. In addition, we see a growing focus on software contracts, so if you have experience on that topic, it is a plus.
• Ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, particularly in the renewable energy sector and the information and security sector.
• Overseeing the company's corporate governance and ensuring adherence to best practices.
• Handling disputes and litigation matters as necessary.
• Staying updated on relevant legal developments and advise the company on potential impacts.
  
  
  

What We Are Looking For

• A university law degree.
• Experience of 5-10 years in a legal role, with 2-3 years in a legal counsel role, preferably within the renewable energy or a comparable project driven environment.
• Proven experience in contract law and regulatory compliance.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Fluency in English both written and spoken.
• Work experience in the Netherlands +/- 5 years.
• Ideal candidate is proficient in Dutch and/or German.
• Availability for 32-40 hours per week.
