Technical Support Engineer - #49439

The Role

• Analyze reported software problems and validate solutions
• Provide troubleshooting plans to discover root causes and deliver rapid resolution on systemic issues (Microsoft Server / Network Topology / Applications)
• Install and configure software and images on Early Learning Shipments (ELS) / New Product Introductions (NPI) / First In Fab tools (FIF)
• Document and perform first of a kind installs on High Volume Manufacturing tools (HVM), develop and train on Software procedures
• Collect and incorporate customer-specific test scenarios, construct simulators for testing and troubleshooting
• Execute test plans to validate software releases and create, test, and verify installation/upgrade instructions
• Understand, research, and resolve internal and external application and systems issues, investigating high-value problems and systematic software failures
• Foster customer trust, consult on Factory Automation scenarios (FA), and resolve questions on tool operations & settings
• Provide on-going training to customers and customer engineers (CE) for technical products and systems issues
• Assist in analysis of customer OS performance, integration, and database management issues; deliver updates and reports to managers, partners, and peers
  
  

What You'll Need

• Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field
• 2-4 years of professional experience in software testing, test cases, documentation, and network technology preferred
• Strong communication skills in English; German is beneficial
• Team player with willingness to work in multi-disciplinary teams
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills
• Willingness to travel to customer sites in Europe and headquarters in the US, up to 50%
