As Anti-Bullying Coordinator, you will:

  • Design, develop, and implement school-wide bullying prevention programmes
  • Serve as the central point of contact for all reported bullying incidents and conduct conversations with students involved
  • Provide individual counseling for students involved in bullying situations, including ongoing check-ins throughout monitoring periods
  • Guide and coach mentors through the anti-bullying protocol, advising on intervention strategies and communication with students and parents
  • Plan and deliver targeted workshops for students, parents, and staff
  • Collaborate with Team Leaders and Senior Management when escalation to disciplinary measures is required
  • Contribute to the development and periodic review of the Anti-Bullying Protocol and related school policies

As School Counsellor, you will:

  • Provide individual counselling support to students experiencing academic, social, or emotional difficulties not related to bullying, applying evidence-based practices
  • Liaise with parents, teachers, and external mental health professionals to share relevant information and make referrals where necessary
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of all student interactions and case progress in line with school data and privacy policies
  • Attend relevant staff meetings and committees and contribute to whole-school wellbeing initiatives

What We’re Looking For

  • Relevant counselling qualification, minimum HBO level, or an equivalent international qualification (must be recognized in the Netherlands)
  • Knowledge of or willingness to explore and implement evidenced-based methods and best practices to enhance student development
  • Theoretical and practical knowledge of the social-emotional development of children and young people in an international school setting
  • Experience and practical knowledge of bullying dynamics
  • Experience of working within multidisciplinary student support teams
  • Experience in coaching and supporting teachers in meeting individual students’ needs
  • Experience in group interventions (social skills, group dynamics, etc.)
  • Knowledge of or experience with Positive Behaviour Support
  • Fluency in both spoken and written English (minimum of C1). A working knowledge of Dutch/French/German would be an advantage.
