You are a key force within your team. You will work closely with frontend developers, UX designers, and strategists to ensure complex systems run smoothly and reliably. You will have the autonomy to make decisions and directly contribute to the product’s success.

What you will do

As a backend developer, you will design and implement robust architectures and APIs that seamlessly integrate with existing platforms and native frontends. You will work hands-on with PHP and Node.js and are familiar with modern cloud technology.

You are the backend expert within the team: analytically strong, up-to-date on the latest developments, and capable of making swift, sound technical decisions. You understand the difference between what is necessary and what could be improved.

Your key tasks include:

• Developing scalable backend architectures for our digital products

• Implementing API integrations and server-side logic

• Integrate seamlessly with CMS platforms (including Sitecore) and Azure services

• Contributing to architecture choices and the technical roadmap

• Writing unit and functional tests

• Safeguarding quality and performance

• Doing code reviews

Who you are

Ready to make this role your own? You are the right fit if you:

• Have at least 7 years of experience as a backend developer

• Hold a bachelor’s degree or higher

• Are curious, eager to learn, and keep your knowledge current

• Enjoy working as part of a team but can also take responsibility independently

• Are proactive and willing to challenge ideas

• Stay ahead of the curve by integrating the latest Backend advancements to elevate our digital products

• Speak and write Dutch and/or English
