Our technicians in the national Decathlon Service Center repair our customers' sport products for rental and second-hand sales. Join our Decathlon team!

You job

All products can break but fortunately most of Decathlon's products are repairable. Our stores have workshops that solve many problems, but they send the difficult jobs to the service center, where you take care of them. As technician, you are an expert who has product knowledge and you know how to independently carry out sport product repairs. Communication with our stores is also part of your work, because they will sometimes ask for advice and like to stay informed about the state of their repairs.

A product that you have handled will return to the store in perfect condition, making for a happy customer! Products we for example repair:

• Bikes

• Tents and other outdoor equipment

• Fitness equipment

• Watersport equipment

• Etc.

Daily work at a glance

• Receiving, registering and repairing sport products

• Ordering spare parts

• Registering and shipping repairs (to stores and our 2nd life department)

• Communication with our stores and other stakeholders

• Find information about our products and repairs

• Inventory of our stock

Our team is an international group of people who carry out all different repairs for the sport products. Gradually, everyone finds their own specialization and we expect the same from you. Everyone can work independently, but with difficult issues we work together to find a solution.

Timeline of your career within Decathlon:

• 1st year: You will focus on onboarding and learning everything about the job

• 2nd year: You will excell in the position and get the opportunity to grow more in technical skills or soft skills.

• 3rd year - 4th year: You can discover other opportunities in the company and potentially switch from position

Growth path and salary
To grow within the several technician scales you will have trainings and workshops. You will be validated for the next step when you have the necessary skills. These validation moments will be in Lille and will be most likely from your 2nd year at Decathlon.

Starting salary is €2593,50 per month based on a 38 hours workweek. With a yearly standard increase based on your Decathlon experience

What we expect from you

• 
  You love to do sports!

• You are curious about repairing all sorts of products and motivated to learn and to explain (related to repairs)

• You have a strong team spirit and are ready to help wherever the team needs you the most

• You have a hands-on mentality; so you know how to tackle issues

• You have good communication skills, as you will interact with stores and stakeholders.

• You have the nationality of one of the EU countries and live in a 30 km radius of your circular center in Tilburg

• Available 32-38 hours

• You can speak Dutch fluently

• You need a valid visa/work permit to work for us

WORKING HOURS

No late shifts, no weekend shifts: the repair team works Monday to Friday, from 8.30 till 17.00
