About the position

We have an excellent opportunity available for an experienced Procurement Senior Buyer to make a difference at Kraft Heinz. The External Manufacturing (EM) Senior Buyer focusing on our Tomato Based Products lies within the European business unit. You’ll be working in a high performing team, alongside peers always trying to reach the next level. You’ll be reporting to the Lead of Taste Elevation External Manufacturing, supporting the most strategic category of our company. Get ready for a lot of exposure to internal senior stakeholders. Sourcing, contracting and managing relationships with external manufacturers will be your primary responsibility.

In brief, you are responsible for:

• Act as the lead point of contact for external manufacturers across the Tomato Based Products category, managing and growing partnerships to secure supply, optimise total cost, ensure full regulatory and commercial compliance, and actively drive innovation.

• Develop and execute end-to-end sourcing strategies and supply-base designs for a regional strategic category aligned with long-term business objectives.

• Lead high-impact commercial negotiations and secure the most commercially favourable terms without compromising quality or service.

• Own category spend and financials: drive budgeting, forecasting, savings delivery, and scenario planning for the category.

• Lead resolution of major supplier issues, escalate appropriately, and coordinate cross-functional corrective actions with Procurement, Supply Chain, Quality, R&D, Marketing and Finance.

• Proactively identify quality, technical, commercial and regulatory risks; design and implement mitigation plans and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Influence and align senior stakeholders across multiple markets and functions.

Qualifications

Please kindly note that you need to have an EU Working Permit (Orientation Year Visa not included) in order to proceed for this position.

• Education: Bachelors/Master’s Degree (Supply Chain, Engineering, Procurement), additional competences in Business Administration, Supply Chain or related fields are a plus.

• Work Experience: 4-5 years of experience in procurement or related activities. Experience in external manufacturing and CPG, food & beverage or manufacturing-heavy environments. Track record of leading commercial negotiations at a regional level.

• Functional Skills: Strong commercial acumen, contract drafting/negotiation experience, supplier relationship management, financial planning and P&L awareness. Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and procurement tools (e.g., Ariba).

• Personal Skills: Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, analytical mindset, excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to work across multiple markets and cultures.

• Language Knowledge: English a must, additional languages relevant for the area covered a plus.
