Our R&D team in Eindhoven works at the intersection of mechatronics, software, and control engineering. As a Development Engineer, you will focus on analytical development and software tooling for machine control systems. You’ll use modeling, simulation, and data-driven analysis to support the design and optimization of mechatronic systems, while working closely with colleagues from mechatronics, software, and test engineering.

A Day In Your Role Could Look Like This

• Developing analytical models and simulations for mechatronic systems in MATLAB;
• Analyzing system behavior, performance limits, and optimization opportunities;
• Creating algorithms, engineering tools, and user-friendly GUIs in MATLAB;
• Supporting automatic code generation and control-oriented software workflows;
• Validating concepts through simulation, data analysis, and test setups or prototypes;
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams and clearly communicating insights and recommendations.
  
  

What You Bring

• A Master’s degree in a relevant engineering field (e.g. Mechatronics, Control, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering);
• Strong MATLAB skills, including modeling, scripting, signal processing, and tool or GUI development;
• Experience with analytical problem solving and simulation based development;
• Affinity with control systems and machine automation;
• A structured, analytical mindset with the ability to clearly explain complex topics;
• Comfort working in multidisciplinary engineering environments;
• Experience with tools or workflows such as Simulink, embedded or code generation environments, DevOps/CI CD, or hands on validation is a plus.
