Job Description

As an Underwriter A&H, you will be responsible for reviewing and accepting risks, pricing insurance products, and developing new coverage solutions under our Lloyd’s binder. You will work closely with brokers, clients, and internal teams to ensure that our underwriting meets both commercial needs and Lloyd’s standards.

You will be part of a new technical team and help us expand across Europe in sports, entertainment, and other specialty segments.

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate incoming A&H insurance requests
• Calculate premiums and determine appropriate terms and conditions
• Draft quotations and issue policies in a timely and accurate manner
• Maintain regular contact with brokers and partners in the Netherlands and abroad
• Support product development for new lines such as Prize Indemnity and Event Cancellation
• Ensure compliance with Lloyd’s standards and internal guidelines
• Help implement digital underwriting and reporting systems
• Support internal training and knowledge sharing on underwriting principles
• Monitor the performance of the underwriting portfolio
  
  

Qualifications And Skills

• Bachelor’s degree (insurance, business, or related field)
• Previous experience in insurance, preferably in underwriting or technical account management
• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
• Excellent communication skills in English; other languages are a plus
• Willing to obtain or already have relevant WFT diplomas (WFT Basis, WFT Insurance Private and Business) – training is offered by us
• Comfortable with responsibility and decision-making
• Knowledge of or interest in professional sports and entertainment is appreciated
