Greenskeeper I

Summary of Responsibility: Responsible for the general maintenance and beautification of the golf course in accordance with Jackson County policies and procedures.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance on mowers and other golf course related equipment.
• Change tees and cup placements.
• Maintain the course by performing a variety of duties such as, but not limited to cutting grass, daily maintenance of irrigation system, and landscaping.
• Operate a variety of golf course equipment necessary to maintain the greens, tees, and fairways.
• Daily maintenance of greens, tees, fairways, roughs and common areas.
• Perform general maintenance on structures including buildings, fences, bridges and shelters.
  
  

Required Skills, Knowledge And Abilities

• Ability to apply logical reasoning.
• Ability to perform routine tasks without immediate supervision.
• Ability to perform assignment-based tasks with support.
• Knowledge of different types of grounds maintenance and landscape equipment is desired.
  
  

Education And Qualification Requirements

• High School Diploma or its equivalent is required.
• Formal training or one (1) year of prior experience in turf or greens-keeping is preferred.
  
  

Supervisory Requirements

• This position does not supervise any employee(s).
